A few years ago, I started a project photographing still life images, using animal skulls and flowers to show the dichotomy of beauty. What resulted was the Beauty and Decay series. This is one of my favorite images - of a painted raven skull sitting on a dark platform with a bouquet of purple daisies and a yellow wax candle burning in the background in a vintage style candle holder.
